Everything reaches the same address: [email protected]. It is read by the editors who write the entries, not by a support team, so a message about a specific page gets to the person who wrote it.
Corrections
If an entry is wrong, we want to fix it, and the fix is faster when the message carries evidence rather than an objection. Useful details are the page address, the sentence you are disputing, and a source we can check: a register link, a company number, a licence reference with the authority named, or a document.
We correct the text, note what changed, and reset the checked date. What we cannot do is remove an entry because its subject dislikes the finding, or change a status because an assertion was sent to us with confidence.
If you operate a platform we have logged
Send the three fields that end most disputes in a single message: the legal name of the operating company, its registration number and jurisdiction, and the authority and reference number of any licence you hold. If those check out against the public record, the entry changes to reflect it, quickly and without argument.
A statement that you are regulated, without naming the regulator and the number, cannot move a verdict, because it is not something anyone can verify.
Tips and suggestions
Brand names worth logging are always welcome, particularly ones appearing in advertisements rather than in search results. Tell us where you saw the promotion and what it promised. If you have a personal account of dealing with a platform, we will read it carefully and treat it as a lead for our own checking, but we will not publish it as a quotation or present it as evidence in an entry.
What we cannot do
We do not recover lost funds, and we have no relationship with anyone who claims they can. Recovery offers that arrive after a loss are, with depressing regularity, the second stage of the same fraud.
We do not give investment advice, recommend a platform, review a portfolio or comment on whether a specific trade was sensible. We do not act as an intermediary between a user and a platform, and we cannot escalate a withdrawal request on anyone's behalf.
If you have lost money, the right destinations are the police or fraud reporting body in your country, the financial regulator for the jurisdiction claimed, and your bank or card issuer if the payment might still be disputable. Keep every receipt, transaction reference and message before you contact any of them.
Response times
The desk is small and replies are written by people. A correction with evidence attached moves fastest. A message that asks us to remove an entry without giving a reason is read, filed, and not acted upon.
