About DEX Registry

DEX Registry began with a practical annoyance. Searching for the name of a platform that had appeared in an advertisement returned dozens of pages, all confident, most of them assembled from the platform's own marketing and padded with numbers nobody could source. A minimum deposit appeared in three places with three different figures. A licence was mentioned without a regulator, a number or a company. None of it was checkable, and all of it read as authoritative.

We built a register that inverts the habit. Instead of collecting claims, we test them, and where a test is impossible we record the impossibility as the finding.

What an entry contains

Every entry answers the same four questions in the same order: who holds client funds, where an order would be routed, which legal entity is party to the terms, and what any cited licence actually authorises. After that come the sections on deposits and withdrawals, a reading of the promotional language, and a checklist a person can run before funding anything.

The structure is fixed on purpose. A reader who has seen one entry knows where to look in the next, and a fixed structure makes an omission visible: when the custody section says that no statement was found, the absence sits in the same place it would sit on a page where something was found.

Who writes them

The desk is small. Three editors carry the register: one on custody and settlement, one on registers and corporate filings, one on payments and the path a withdrawal takes. Each entry carries a byline, and the person named is the person who did the checking.

We publish role and responsibility rather than borrowed credentials. Nobody here claims a past at an institution you cannot verify, because a biography that cannot be checked would undermine the only thing this site sells, which is the habit of checking.

What we refuse to do

We do not accept payment for a verdict, and no entry has ever been altered because a platform asked. We do not run a comparison table with stars, because a star rating on an operator we cannot identify would be an invention dressed as a measurement. We do not offer signals, portfolio advice, account management or recovery services, and we will never contact a reader to offer any of them. If a message claims otherwise, it did not come from us.

We also do not pretend to completeness. New brands appear weekly, most of them variations on a template, and the register covers what the desk has had time to check. The date on each entry is the boundary of what we know.

How the site is funded

Some outbound links on this site are commercial, and why trust us explains the arrangement in detail, including the rule that keeps it away from the verdict. The short version is that a verdict is written before any commercial question is asked, and no partner sees an entry before publication.
